Losing 50 Crores to Tamil Cinema: Kollywood Movie Industry

Petition against tax exemption to films with Tamil names dismissed: "Submitting that the exemption under the Tamil Nadu Entertainment Tax Act was in force for the last three years, the Joint Secretary of Tamil Nadu Peoples' Rights Forum R Pugalenthi in his petition alleged that as a result of the exemption the state exchequer was losing about Rs 50 crore annually."
